PALERMO, ITALY (TICKER) -- Henrieta Nagyova of Slovakia won her sixth career title today with a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Bulgaria's Pavlina Nola in the final of the $140,000 International Tournament.
Nagyova stretched her streak of at least one tournament victory to five years with today's triumph and earned $16,000. Currently ranked No. 76 in the world, she dropped just one set en route to the title.
The 21-year-old Nagyova upset seventh seed Rita Grande in the first round, and No. 5 Silvia Farina in the semifinals.
Nola, who turned 26 on Friday, failed
to win the first title of her career after claiming several tournaments on the
juniors circuit. However, she took home a runner-up check of $8,000.
